Remote expedition

Península Mitre

The route crosses Laguna Esmeralda, Cerro Castor, Lago Escondido and Lake Fagnano before reaching the Atlantic coast. It follows cliffs and remote estancias to the Duquesa de Albany wreck, lands in that isolated setting and returns through Slogget Bay, the Monte Sarmiento wreck and Estancia Harberton.

  • Lago Escondido, Lake Fagnano and Cerro Cornú
  • Duquesa de Albany and Slogget Bay
  • Monte Sarmiento and Estancia Harberton

This is a long, remote operation. The route, landings and stops require favourable conditions and an operational assessment.
